Call for entries for the 5th EMERGING ARTISTS AWARDS
1st-10th October 2010
The Wollombi Valley Arts Council (WVAC) invites entries from all emerging artists of any age in any medium!
The WVAC is a non-profit volunteer community group that manages the Wollombi Cultural Centre for the artistic and cultural needs of our community.
This award is open to all artists who haven't had a solo exhibition in a commercial gallery (not-for-profit galleries including artist-run spaces not included).
$10 entry includes 2010 WVAC membership.
This year, the awards total $4,000, supported by Cessnock City Council. There are 3 categories
- Open $1500, $800, $400
- Youth 2x $100 and 2x $50
- plus the new Wollombi Prize $1000, which will hopefully encourage more local entries.
Entry deadline: 20 September 2010
Awards Presentation: Friday 1 October 6.00pm
