Aprons with Attitude

The women of Wollombi Stitch n Bitch are at it again.

For the past few months, the women of Wollombi SnB have been busily creating, sewing & knitting for their new fundraising project Aprons with Attitude.producing some truly amazing Aprons!

Money raised is for the Wollombi Community Hall and Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue.

Mason Williams exhibition @ WCC

Mason Williams current exhibition of artwork is a culmination of the last five years with works on paper, cards and digital prints, acrylic and oil paintings large and small in which he continues to express his connection with the Australian landscape and takes strong influence from indigenous art and modernist painters. Mason has been painting for over 20 years and feels his work is just beginning.

Lorna Wall - Chasing the Moon

Lorna is a Hunter Valley artist. She has had solo exhibitions in Sydney, Brisbane, North Coast and the Hunter Valley, has won many city and regional awards and has been selected for major exhibitions. Her art is in public and private collections in Australia and internationally.

The images are a response to living in a world overloaded with information, which can be liberating and provide instant gratification, but at the same time can also be disturbing. As thinking living organisms, we are surrounded by data from many sources, therefore our day to day contact with people and our environment must provoke a response.

INSIDE ART, another exciting exhibition of Paintings Drawings and Craft Work, by the inmates of Cessnock Correctional Centre opens at the Wollombi Cultural Centre on Easter Friday, April 10th, at 5pm, with drinks and nibblies. Painting Life

Helene is exhibiting a series of still lifes and nudes. Colourful and expressive, the paintings attempt to depict the transparency of objects.
