Harley, a classically trained fine artist and concert pianist, has been working and exhibiting in the Lower Hunter for 15 years.

This will be his first exhibition in Wollombi.

"Reflections" will feature waterscapes & landscapes of local areas using pure pigment oil on linen. Paintings range from small to very large and reasonable prices should attract much interest.

"Reflections" runs from Sat 20th to Sunday 28th March, weekends, 10am to 4pm

Inside Art 2010

Opening on Easter Friday 2nd April 2010, at 6pm, with drinks and nibblies, Inside Art is back for 2010 at the Wollombi Cultural Centre.
This year, the exhibition will feature artworks from St. Heliers Correctional Centre at Muswelbrook and will include, predominantly, a display of indigenous art from inmates and ex inmates.

This annual exhibition, convened by James Whitington from the WVAC, is now in its 6th year and is a popular and much anticipated event within the Wollombi community and, also, provides the inmates with much encouragement. The art programs within the Correctional Services has created an opportunity to help inmates use their time constructively, to retain or gain their self-esteem, to plan positively for re-entry into society and to reduce re-offending.

Well known indigeneous artists Tex Skulthorpe and Les Elvin will help facilitate the exhibition.

Come, see and enjoy the variety, originality and beauty of this Art from the Inside (and the Outside).

Open over the Easter Long Weekend, and continuing until Sunday 18th April (3 weekends only) from 10am to 4pm. Sponsored by the Wollombi Valley Arts Council under the auspices of NSW Ministry for the Arts.
