Old Fireshed Gallery

The Old Fireshed Gallery was converted into a much-needed gallery in 2003, when the Rural Fire Service moved to their new fireshed. Since then it has been a popular and successful exhibition space for local artists, and some from further afield. A new exhibition is held every month. It is an artist - run venue, with the WVAC only requiring 10% of gross sales, and hence very popular.

Our current exhibition….

‘NATURE IN MOTION’

An exhibition by GLENDA MELLOWS

Open 10am - 3pm

Friday, Saturday & Sunday

7th - 22nd December 2024

You are warmly invited to join Glenda for the exhibition opening from 2pm on Saturday the 7th of December for drinks, nibbles and wonderful local art.

"As an artist I like to portray the beauty of the created natural environment on canvas using various mediums. I have been painting for over 40 years & am inspired by the beauty of nature in whatever form it presents itself.

Trying to capture the magnificence of a sunset, the smile of a person or the majesty of the ocean on canvas can be challenging. I like to allow the awe I feel to inspire me & let it guide my interpretation of my visual senses.

Nature is never boring, it is never stationary, it is never constant - it is always in motion."
